SAFT Maitland facilitates cold storage of fruit and vegetables from various production areas. Apart from many pallets handled from the Western Cape, clients send fruit from as far as the Eastern Cape and Northern Cape areas of our country to enjoy the service experience offered by SAFT Maitland.

SAFT Maitland is ideally situated just outside the Port of Cape Town.  This makes it a conveniently located facility for both containerised exports and conventional exports.

SAFT Maitland manages temperature accuracy by using a computerised temperature control system which monitors and controls the conditions in all rooms.  On a 24 hour basis, predetermined conditions are monitored to ensure the best possible compliance to various client and industry protocols.  This includes the stringent phytosanitary protocols of countries such as USA.

We use the Paltrack stock control system, making it possible to offer full traceability of produce handled at our facility.  This includes intake information, in-store movements as well as shipping information.  Electronic invoice data, automated stock reports and electronic intake/stock/shipping data distribution is only a few permutations of the information we can supply.
